Retreat Daily Rhythm – Wake with the Dawn, Rest with the Moon

At Purna Yoga Retreat, each day is thoughtfully designed to align with the natural rhythms of the body and mind. Through yoga, sound healing, conscious breathing, nourishing food, and meaningful connection with nature, guests are invited to cultivate vitality during the day and deep restoration in the evening.

Morning Activation - Awakening Energy with Clarity, Vitality & Presence
5:30am Gentle Wake-Up with Sacred Sound

Begin the day with the soothing resonance of sacred sound, allowing the body and mind to awaken naturally and peacefully.
6:00am – 7:00am Silent Morning Preparation & Meditation (Indoor or Outdoor)

The day begins with gentle awakening practices, including Sukshma Vyayama (subtle yogic movements) and joint mobility exercises that stimulate the entire body through mindful breathing. These practices gradually transition into seated meditation, cultivating clarity, presence, and inner stillness.

(All staff members are required to participate in the morning yoga and meditation session alongside retreat guests. Starting the day with yoga and meditation promotes positive energy, physical well-being, mental clarity, and sustained focus throughout the working day. This daily practice enables staff to embody the healthy lifestyle, professionalism, and core values of Purna Yoga Retreat.)
7:00am Purna Herbal Tea Break
7:20am Yogic Cleansing Ritual (Jal Neti & Breath Preparation)

A traditional yogic cleansing practice to purify and energize the body, support respiratory health, and help balance the Ida and Pingala Nadis.
8:00am - 9:30am Morning Yoga Flow

Dynamic Hatha Yoga designed to enhance circulation, mobility, strength, flexibility, and brining the active energy for the day.

Pranayama & Breath Regulation

Conscious breathing techniques that cultivate balance, focus, and inner harmony.

Nada Surya Namaskar

A unique fusion of sound, movement, and awareness that honors the rising energy of the sun and awakens vitality from within.
9:40am Nourishing Brunch

The main meal of the day—warm, wholesome, grounding, and energizing, prepared to support healthy digestion and sustained vitality.
Midday Restoration
11:00am - 12:20pm Wellness Spa Journey or Personal Free Time

Take time to relax and rejuvenate through:
• Steam Bath
• Foot Bath Therapy
• Swimming Pool Access
• Waterfall Meditation & Bathing (June to Nov) enter with caution.
• Personal Rest and Reflection

Additional wellness therapies and spa treatments are available upon request at Reception.

Optional - Nature & Cultural Exploration

Discover nearby villages, nature trails, sacred sites, and local culture through mindful exploration and connection with the surrounding environment.
12:30pm Sound Healing & Deep Relaxation Immersion

A restorative sound journey using therapeutic vibrations to calm the nervous system, release tension, and encourage profound relaxation.
1:15pm Seasonal Digestive Refreshment

Enjoy fresh smoothies, nourishing dal soup, seasonal fruits, and herbal beverages that gently support digestion and maintain balanced energy levels.
2:00pm Yoga Philosophy & Balanced Living Circle

Explore practical yogic wisdom and engage in meaningful discussions on balanced living. Through shared experiences and guided reflection, discover lifestyle principles that cultivate self-awareness, resilience, inner harmony, and a more purposeful way of life.

(Note - 2:30 PM – Staff Pranayama or Yoga Nidra Session: A dedicated breathing practice to promote relaxation, mental clarity, and renewed focus for the remainder of the workday.)
3:20pm Bhakti Yoga Sadhana
(Monday, Wednesday & Saturday)


Experience the heart-centered path of devotion through mantra chanting, music, and conscious connection.

(Note: After brunch, guests interested in exploring nearby viewpoints, sightseeing, boating, or paragliding may do so between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. These activities are available upon request. Please consult the reception team for assistance and arrangements.)
Evening Down-Regulation

Preparing the Body & Mind for Deep Rest

4:00pm - 5:30pm Evening Yoga

A slow, grounding practice designed to regulate the nervous system, release accumulated tension, and prepare the body for deep rest.

Sunset Reflection & Yoga Nidra

As the day transitions into evening, experience deep guided relaxation, conscious rest, and quiet reflection.

Alternate Days - Nada Chandra Namaskar

A calming lunar-inspired practice that honors the moon through sound, stillness, breath, and awareness, supporting emotional balance and inner tranquility.
6:00pm Light Early Dinner

A nourishing evening meal featuring warm, easily digestible foods that support relaxation and restful sleep. (Guests are encouraged to eat slowly, mindfully, and with gratitude.)
7:00pm Mindful Grounding Walk After Dinner

A gentle, contemplative barefoot walk through the garden, weather permitting. This peaceful practice encourages connection with the earth, nature, and the present moment while supporting digestion and preparing the body and mind for deep, restful sleep.
7:30pm Trataka Meditation (Alternate Day)

Traditional Gazing meditation using a sesame oil lamp to cultivate concentration, mental clarity and inner stillness.

Evening Reflection and Gratitude Circle

A calming evening practice that offers space to reflect on the day's experiences, emotions, and insights. Through mindful breathing, guided reflection, gratitude, and moments of silence, guests are invited to release the day's mental activity, cultivate inner peace, and prepare the body and mind for deep, restorative sleep.

Friday Special - Community Bhakti Kirtan – Seasonal Only

An uplifting evening of devotional music, mantra chanting, joyful celebration, and heartfelt community connection.
8:00pm Digital Detox & Sleep Preparation

Disconnect from devices, reduce sensory stimulation, and prepare the body and mind for restorative sleep.
8:30pm Recommended Bedtime

Honor your natural circadian rhythm and allow the body and mind to fully restore through deep, rejuvenating sleep.

(Note: Longer-staying guests may occasionally be invited to special or surprise programs. Participation in all activities is optional, so guests are welcome to rest and join only the sessions that feel right for them.)
